Tom Wadsworth (Editor, DASMA, USA) and Marisa Richter (Int’l Sales & Marketing Manager R+T Asia) had the chance to meet and interview Juan Vargues (Executive Vice President ASSA ABLOY and President & CEO ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems), Eva Karlsson (President, Pedestrian Door Solutions) and Maria Bergving (Vice President Marketing & Communications, ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems) during R+T Asia 2015.


In 20 years ASSA ABLOY has transformed from a local player to a global company with operations in more than 70 countries with around 44,000 employees. ASSA ABLOY has a leading position in areas such as entrance automation, access control systems, identification technology, mechanical and electromechanical locking solutions, security doors and hotel security.

R+T Asia/DASMA:   Can you explain the type of companies involved in ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems.

R+T Asia/DASMA: What are your long-term goals for the industry in China, and what changes did you experience in the last few years in China?
ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems:  We have been present in China for many years now, and have a strong commitment to serve and develop the domestic market with convenient and automated solutions. We have grown with the market and are today a full service supplier with local R&D, sourcing, manufacturing, sales, installation and aftermarket services of automatic doors, industrial doors, high-performance doors, loading dock equipment and hangar doors. We also offer maintenance and modernization to ensure optimal performance and continuous energy-efficient and secure solutions.
R+T Asia/DASMA: ASSA ABLOY is acquiring companies from all over the world. What is the advantage for a company to belong to ASSA ABLOY Group, and are you currently looking for other companies in China?
